That depends on how much storage space and bandwidth you need. Pricing starts at

So does that mean I pay $15/month for every account I order?
Actually, no. Once you order one account with us, you'll then be able to order
additional accounts at the resellers discounted rates.
Which web hosting plan should I get?
Although we offer two web hosting plans from which to choose, it is our
$15.00/month Silver Plan that suits most needs just fine. It offers a
whopping 1,000 MB of storage space (enough to hold thousands of web
pages and images), and 10 GB of monthly data transfer... more than 99%
of websites need. For these reasons we recommend starting with our
cheaper Silver plan, and upgrade to the Gold plan only if you need to.
How many web pages can I have in my hosting account?
That depends on how much information and how many images you include in your web pages. The
Silver plan allows 1,000 MB of storage space, and a typical web page takes up no more than 100 KB. Based on that, you could have
10,000 web pages! Indeed, there is way more storage space available to you than you'll likely ever need.
What about Data Transfer? How many "hits" can my website have?
Our web hosting plan allows a full 10 GB of data transfer per month (sometimes referred to as bandwidth). That roughly equates to
1 million "hits" or "visits" per month. But that is a generalization. The number of hits your website can have in a month depends on the size of the web pages being viewed. If someone visits your home page, and your home page takes up 100 KB of storage space, then 100 KB of
data transfer has been used. That holds true each time anyone visits that home page. 100 KB will be used each time. Now, when someone "returns" to your website after having already been there, their computer's cache memory will likely have already stored your web page, so returning will not use up any more bandwidth. Because of this, and because returning visitors will likely be part of your monthly visitors,
1 million hits may only result in half (or less) of your available bandwidth being used.
Do I need to register my domain name with HalifaxHost.com?
No, you do not have to register a domain name with us. However, you do need a registered domain name to use our web hosting accounts. In other words, if you don't register one with us, then you must register one with someone else. Or perhaps you already have an existing registered domain name that you would like to use... that's fine too.
Domain registrations can cost up to $50.00 per year, depending on who (which registrar) you register them with. The most popular domain name registration companies are register.com and Network
Solutions, but they charge quite a bit more for domain registrations
than we do.
You will only be charged for domain name registration by us, if you want to register a new domain name through us...
and there is no charge for using an existing registered domain name with our hosting accounts.
How will I be billed/invoiced?
That depends on how you pay for your hosting plan. There are three ways
for you to pay:
1. PayPal
Upon placing your order, your PayPal account will immediately be billed for
the first year of hosting. Your PayPal
account will then automatically be billed the annual fee every year thereafter. This will continue until you decide to cancel your hosting with
us.
3. Cheque, Bank Draft or Money Order
Upon placing your order, you will be advised to send us your payment for one
year of hosting. As
soon as we receive your payment, we will then activate your account and send
you your welcome email. Then, approximately 30 days prior to your renewal
date, you will be notified by email to renew your hosting plan prior to the
end of your term. It is your responsibility to renew your plan either by
PayPal, or again by cheque or money order prior to the end of
your term. Failing to renew in time may result in your account being
suspended, and/or terminated.
Can you host International domain names?
Yes. We support all domain name extensions available throughout the world. The three most popular are .com, .net and .org. Examples of other domain name extensions are: .ca, .co.uk, .com.au, .info, .biz, .tv, .ws, .cc, .us, .bz, .name, .de, .jp.... and there are many more available.
Do the web hosting prices include the cost of registering a domain name?
No. If you do not already have a domain name, then you will have to register one separately. You can either
register one
here, or at any other recognized domain name registrar.
Will there be any ads on my website?
No! That is, not unless they are ads that you design into your website. Some budget hosting companies offer very cheap web hosting, but have a stipulation that an ad for their company will be placed at the top or bottom of your website. That is not the case with our hosting plans. Our hosting plans are 100% "ad-free". But again, you are more than welcome to put ads on your website yourself :)
Can I resell your accounts?
Absolutely! You can order as many accounts as you want, and resell them to your own customers. You can
charge your customers whatever you want for these hosting plans.
Note: If you plan on selling many hosting accounts, then you may be interested
in a reseller plan where you can setup hosting accounts yourself, to share the

Can I have MP3's and/or Video's on my website?
Yes, provided you own the copyright to them.
Do you support ASP
No. All accounts are hosted on Linux servers, and support PHP and
MySQL instead.
What about adult sites?
We do not allow any pornography, adult-related material, or links to such websites in our hosting accounts. People caught abusing this policy will have their hosting accounts terminated without warning.

I'm ready to sign up! What next?
Click here to order a web hosting account. Once you submit your order, we will immediately begin setting up your new account. Once it's ready, we'll send you a
"welcome email" containing your login information, and instructions on uploading your website, setting up email, and using your new account.
How long does it take to setup my new account?
If we receive your order during regular business hours, your account will
typically be setup within 2 hours. Otherwise, it may take up to 12 hours. We still setup accounts at night, on the weekends, and on holidays, but it just takes a little longer.
Is support also slower during non-regular business hours?
NO! Our support staff is always staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, including all holidays. We feel it is important to be available to existing customers at all times in case you need help.
Their typical response time to support issues is less than 1 hour, provided
you use the Technical Support Request form.
It is only our sales staff that is not always available outside of regular business hours.
